2. Overview

This website only provides information. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and embeds no third-party content; fonts, pictures and videos are hosted on our own server. Personal data is processed only in the web server's log files and when you contact us by email.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website runs on a server operated on our behalf by a hosting provider. With every request the web server automatically stores:

• the IP address of the requesting device,
• date and time of the request,
• the requested address (URL) and the amount of data transferred,
• the HTTP status code,
• the previously visited page (referrer), if your browser sends it,
• browser and operating system (user agent).

The purpose is to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure, for example against attacks; for this the server's security software evaluates requests automatically and may block suspicious IP addresses for a while. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and error-free operation of the website. The recipient is our hosting provider. The log files are deleted automatically after seven days.

4. Contact by email

When you email us, we process your address and the information you give us to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request concerns a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in answering requests). We delete the data once the request is settled and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Links to Steam

The buttons and links to the RAYBREAKER page on Steam are plain links; nothing is loaded from Steam before you click. Only when you click such a link do you go to the Steam store of Valve Corporation, where Valve's privacy policy applies. The links carry campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content) from which Steam shows us, in aggregate, how many visits came from which part of this website. We receive no personal data this way.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). Please contact us at the address above.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate (Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz).
